My goal is to help you understand your taxpayer rights when you face the IRS in an audit, collection, or investigation. The tax enforcement laws are technical and complicated. On this website, we explain them in plain English. We also help you deal with the overarching question many people ask when they begin to face their tax problem: “What in the world is going on here; what am I dealing with, and what can I do about it.” You live in an age of taxpayer rights. If you use these rights, there is hope to resolve almost every IRS-related matter. The key is to realize the problem early – formulate a logical plan – and act. Catch it late, and the results are almost always more costly. In my 40+ years of experience working with IRS agents daily, there is rarely a tax problem that cannot be resolved.
